My ID certificate for my remote access VPN was about 3 weeks from expiry so I edited the name in the GUI (Just changed 2024 to 2025 on the end of the certificate name), and hit the button to renew. (which was successful based on the new dates displayed)

I then used the export function to export the configuration and imported it under network manager on my Linux laptop after deleting the old configurations from the laptop.

When I go to log into the VPN, I get a popup to enter my credentials, and I enter the correct password, but the popup comes back a few seconds later saying "A Password is Required".

I tested the setup with the old configuration immediately before making the changes, so I know everything was working and that I have the correct password.

I did not revoke the old certificate, and I am still able to log in on another device with the old certificate and the same password, so the VPN is working.

I also stopped and restarted the VPN service from the GUI and I am still unable to log in.

How can I go about troubleshooting this issue? Has anyone else had a similar problem? Any guidance would be much appreciated.

If you find my post useful, please give it a thumbs up!
