I realize this may not exactly be Netgate's issue but I noticed today the email notifications are arriving 1-1.5 hours later than the post. https://mha.azurewebsites.net/ puts it on Google outbound with a 69 minute delay before it leaves Google...first 3 hops:

      1	forum.netgate.com (forum.netgate.com. [208.123.73.77])	smtp.gmail.com	11/18/2025 11:48:23 AM
      	ESMTPSA

      2	mail-qt1-f173.google.com	11/18/2025 12:57:50 PM
      69 minutes 27 seconds
      	SMTP

      3	mail-qt1-f173.google.com ([209.85.160.173])	(our_MX) 11/18/2025 12:57:50 PM
      0 seconds
      	esmtps (TLS1.2) tls TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 (Exim 4.98) (envelope-from <forum-donotreply@netgate.com>)

There's occasionally a ~13 minute delay on emails after it gets to our MX but that does not affect all messages....guessing that is busy inbound servers. Most messages are arriving in <1 minute so the forum emails stick out.

Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to reboot, or more depending on packages, CPU, and/or disk speed.

@SteveITS Definitely looks like a weird Google internal routing issue based on that second and third hop.

Notification from thread we both posted to earlier—of your most recent post specifically:

        1 forum.netgate.com (forum.netgate.com. [208.123.73.77]) smtp.gmail.com 1/18/2025 6:15:39 PM UTC ESMTPSA
        2 [submitting host blank] mail-ot1-f50.google.com 11/18/2025 6:15:41 PM UTC 2 seconds SMTP
        3 mail-ot1-f50.google.com (209.85.210.50) [receive MTA] 11/18/2025 6:15:41 PM UTC 0 seconds SMTP

@tinfoilmatt your reply arrived right away. 🤷

@SteveITS Possibly something with that ESMTPSA > SMTP > ESMTPS. But yeah, who knows.
