      How do you turn on 802.11g turbo mode for RC2 of pfsense?  Or is it not possible as I recall it used to be possible.

      Thanks

        Download a freebsd 6.1 CD and see if it works with it.  If it does we will investigate further but chances are FreeBSD 6.1 does not support this option in the driver / hal for your card as of yet.

          hello,

          Well maybe it was freebsd 5 something that had that ability and I just never noticed until now… although I know the card can support 108 mbit 802.11g turbo mode.

          I'll try and find out.

          Thanks

            my CM9's don't list 108 mbit turbo g modes either. however 108 mbit turbo a works fine.

            my card has no countrylock:

            $ ifconfig ath0 list channel

              I was investigating the same thing a couple of months ago. I read alot of discissions on  mailinglists and got the impression that the guy that's responsible for the drivers Sam? doesn't think that turbo mode is a good thing on 2.4Ghz.
              It works just fine in linux, and the HAL is the same for linux and BSD if I'm not misstaken, so I would assume that it's not implemented in the drivers.
