Whenever doing a Site to Site VPN does all the LAN clients on both the sides have to have there respective pfsense ip as there gateway??

As I am using a Content filter in between i am using that as a gateway for all my clients on the Lan.

        Not necessarily.
But if the pfSense is not the default gateway you have to create static routes on the actual default gateway pointing to the pfSense.
