      Hi, I'm new to pfSense.

I have a network with Satellite internet and a set amount of bandwidth. Until I'm able to get a cable run out to where we are at, I need  to be able to set a bandwidth limit that will shut down the internet connection for a certain amount of time so that we don't exceed our limit.

      Is this possible with pfSense?
      If so, how?
If not, do any of you know of another firewall/gateway program that does this (untangle, monowall, etc.)?

      Thank you

I think you can use traffic shaper and squid. Check their features. Good luck
