OpenVpn HMAC signature (TLS)

I have a question how do I create a HMAC signature (TLS) for openvpn? I downloaded the tls-auth package for another layer of security for my openvpn. Does anyone have instructions on how to do this? Do I still use openvpn easyrsa for to create it? Thx for the info in advance.
