      Hi all,

Could anyone tell me once after a bridge was made (say OPT bridge to WAN) , in the packet sniffing, i noticed there is constant broadcast of "STP: RST.Root = 32768…...etc" on the two end of the interface.
What is the theory behind? probably i need more explaination if possible..
Will these STP broadcast have any effect on switches, especially unmanaged switch or terminal like cisco 2800?

      Many thanks..

Since it is a bridge now, it is generating STP packets (Spanning Tree Protocol).  These are harmless.
