hi, im new on PFsense. Im testing that using PFsense IPsec at Both side to Playing LAN GAMES (warcraftIII )
Both side IPsec are connected to each network.

The case is I want to Play LAN games with other side, But can't see any LAN game available after side B create the game.Is it the problem of broadcast issue make our both side can't see the games?
( when i create game at side A, no any game list appear at side B.)
it cant connect to each other to play LAN games together :(

Is it any else configuration needed? Broadcast problem? & i cant found any setting of Broadcast in the interface of PFsense.

Sorry for my poor english. give some opinion & ideas ASAP. Thanks to you all^^

This is not really possible without some kind of UDP broadcast proxy.

Here is some source code for such a proxy:
        http://www.vttoth.com/tunnel.htm

An alternative option would be to set up OpenVPN in bridging mode.
But i'm not certain what the current status of bridging with 1.2.3 is.
There were some problems in setups with CARP and OpenVPN together.
The infos to this here: http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,1990.0.html

            No, no package.
You need to compile the code in the link yourself and run it manually.

But imo it would be easier if you set up a separate VPN for this.
–> pfSense with a OpenVPN PKI.
Each client who want to play connects to this server.
--> You have a separate virtual subnet with all participants in it.
Now the UDP broadcasts should be visible to everyone.

Did you mean pfSense does not support doing broadcasting over the IPsec tunnel??

but if i using openVPN n IPsec VPN at the same time. is it possible working?
( mean i connect to side B & side C, side B is using IPsecVPN, side C using OpenVPN. & setting up both VPN at side A. )

              Is it working??

              Thanks for your useful comment^^

                Hi,

Did you mean pfSense does not support doing broadcasting over the IPsec tunnel??

                Its not ment to be.

Simply use Lancraft for clients dude :D

                http://www.lancraftwc3.com/2008/04/what-is-lancraft.html

Start ur lancraft only on wc3 client and insert Wc3 Server IP. Then start game and u will see hosted langame.

OPENVPN in brigdemode would work but is waste of effort.

                Cya

                Pfsense running at 11 Locations
                -mobile OPENVPN and IPSEC
                -multiwan failover
-filtering proxy(squidguard) in bridgemode with ntop monitoring
