      Hi,

Have anyone here heard of the PITA application? It's a VPN like application that let user access unwanted sites, we've already tried locking down the ports allowed (port 80 is the only allowed port) to no avail, this application keeps on connecting, even squid and OpenDNS does not work. Anyone here care to share his/her experience in stopping this? Can pfSense 2.0 with L7 block this?

      TIA

Since it relies on connecting to their remote servers to make a VPN connection, you might be able to look up whatever IP space they own and block it that way.

Depending on the protocol they use, an L7 filter might work, but it may also catch traffic you want.
