        It's a limitation. Captive portal won't work on a bridge.

          @lluner:

          why

          Because nobody has volunteered their time to make it work correctly.

          Patches accepted.

            Hi,

            i configured a bridge between LAN and OP1 and will run the captive portal a not bridged interface (OPT2). It seems that this is also not possible … am i right? ... or shold it work and i make only a mistake?

            The situation is, that the cp blocks the traffic ... but ... if i open the browser there is no authentification page (i tried local user manager) which asks me for name and password...?!

            Is it generally impossible to use the cp in a environment with a bridged interface, where it doesn't matter if the cp is run on the bridged interface or not?

            bye

              That should work. Make sure the clients at that interface use the pfsense interface IP as dns.

                Great - thank's for the hint! My problem was, that I had a DC acting as a DNS and forwarding all unanswered queries to the POPs DNS (and not to pfsense) …
