I have been using pfsense at my house for years with great success. Now a friend has a problem that I think pfsense is perfect for, but I don’t know the best way to set this up. My friend is a computer teacher at a small school that needs to restrict the websites that students can get to, but allow the teachers and administrators to get to the entire web. They would prefer to use a user login based rule instead of a computer based rule for security. Since my pfsense experience has been for my home, I have never had to block any websites. So I am at a loss on the best way to do this. Please point me in the right direction.

      Thank you.

It's not pfSense but looking around at other options like http://www.smoothwall.net/products/schoolguardian/, http://www.untangle.com/Schools and http://www.clearcenter.com/Services/clearsdn-content-filter-update-7.html might be helpful. Otherwise using pfSense with http://www.opendns.com/solutions/k12/
