Bridge LAN and OPT1
-
Greetings, All
The subject post was initiated by member thegame and finalized on May 22, 2009. His configuration and issues were the same as mine, but there was no problem resolution in the post threads, only that the problems had been resolved.
Problem resolution details would be MOST helpful… ;D
Cheers!

You should provide a link to the thread, and not just describe the post. People who want to help probably aren't going to want to dig up the thread on their own. :)
Or at least give a detailed description of your issues.

He solved the problem because he didn't eventually bridge the interfaces; he needed 2 subnets and allow routing between the 2, which was accomplished. So the question is, what is your setup like and what do you need to achieve?

OK, I'm going for it…
I have attached a description of my network environment along with the pfsense parameters that I have set up so far. I want to separate my LAN and OPT1 segments for performance and traffic shaping. I assumed that subnetting would accomplish this as reflected by my pfsense parameter choices. However, I DO want to pass data between the segments (subnets?); i.e., attach voicemail messages to email.
Bottom line - are my pfsense parameters consistent with what I'm trying to accomplish?
Thanks for your input.

Thomas
