      Hi,

I have been running pfSense for some time now in vmware server 2.02 without too much issue.  I would like to move to a level 1 hypervisor to host pfsense and windows home server Vail.  I have tried esxi 4.1 but have throughput issues with Windows home server.

I am having trouble formating the pfsense drive under Hyper-V R2.  I get an error regarding the number of sectors / disk geometry and all the format / partition steps throw errors.  If I do end up skipping all the warnings the files install but pfsense freezes at the very beginning of boot up.  Any suggestions?  Anyone else have trouble installing 2.0 beta4 in Hyper-V?  I have tried installing with pass through disks as well as to a VHD.  Same error both times.  vmware server installs pfsense to the same drive just fine.
      Thanks,
      Chad

I had the same issue.  Only solution I found was to use a smaller virtual disk (I think 10 GB worked for me).
