      Hello,

I'm building a temporary firewall for a customer. He has multiple WAN-ip's so i set another one on the WAN side and the same LAN-subnet on the LAN side.
Works fine for testing (setting client ip-address to manual with diff. gateway).

However, when i want to change the WAN-ip to the production WAN-ipaddress (which differs only 1 digit at the end), internet stops functioning.
When i change is back to the initial WAN-ip (the testing-setup) it works fine.

      What am i missing here?

      REgards,

      Gerwin

It may be that whatever is acting as the gateway has the old IP:MAC of the current router in its arp table.

Try cloning the MAC of the existing router when replacing it, see if that helps.
