Vouchers: Allowed IP adresses -> Allowed URLs?
-
hi there.
i am on pfSense 2.0-BETA5-pfSense (i386) and want to use it with 2 wans, 1 open lan and 1 lan with restricted use by vouchers.
now the question:
There is a way to allow ip-adresses. ok.
but ist there also a possibility to allow a single URL? -
No. You can only do that for sites where you can configure the IP (or subnet) at this time. For many sites that's not a problem, for a few it's very difficult without opening huge holes through the portal.

So, there is no way with vouchers system to allow a webpage where the user can "buy" the voucher itself and put it later when trys to surf? even with a ipfilter rule?

Add an allowed IP entry for that web server.

hrmm.
The big ISPs have several hundred domains on one IP.
Even i self have around 60 to 70 domains on my server.Maybe it could be an idea to think about it.

Ok, some thinking outside of the box here:
Stunnel or other proxy on vIP on the pfSense host redirect to said server with voucher buying thingie? On the server you can only allow access to certain domain/url from the proxy IP

seems to be a little un-understandable
if the users do not buy a voucher, they may use the wlan for free to see only one Domain.
Nothing else but one single Homepage (and the login…)If someone is buying a voucher, he is allowed to access all the www...
and sorry: My linux-knowledge and also my english is really not perfect...
