      Wan 1 –-v
                        ---- >PFsense 1  (Load Balancer) ---- >  PFSense 2 (Proxy Server) ----- > LAN
        Wan 2 ---^

      NIC 1 = Wan 1
      NIC 2 = Wan 2
      VMNet 1 = LAN of PFSense 1
      VMNet 1 = WAN of PFSense 2
Onboard NIC = LAN of PFSense 2

is the setup possible? both under vmware of same machine?

I think it might be possible with 1 or 2 more interfaces added to the machine.  It would need to be a heavy duty machine to handle the load balancing.

Concidering virtual network cards and virtual switches, this will be no problem, however, why not run both services on the same installation ?

            Running pfSense on :
DL380G4 with ESX Vsphere and DL360G4p bare metal
