If I change "Default LAN >any" to Block I'm unable to log on to Steam, if I do the reverse I'm able to connect to steam.  I've tried opening the following ports in LAN and WAN at different occaision and still now joy. What am I doing wrong. I want to keep the Block rule active at all times.

      UDP  27000-27015
      UDP  27015-27030
      TCP  27014-27050
      UDP  4380

        Sleeps,

I've setup Steam with the following Ports:

        Steam Client: TCP
        27014:27050

        Steam Client: UDP
        4380, 27000:27030, 3478, 4379

        Steam Server: TCP/UDP
        27015

        ;)

Created the same rules but still no access.  Also enabled logging but nothing showing in the logs.  Will have to spend sometime experimenting.  (However in the meantime will unblock last rule "LAN Net rule" so that I could have access).

          Thanks for your help…

Reset the firewall to default and setup the rules from scratch and its now working.

            Thanks again

I have no issues with steam at all and i did not have to open any ports for it.

Are you sure you even needed any ports opened once you reset your firewall.

Under LAN steam works without any ports opened/forwarded, it's not the same for LAN2 everything is locked down.
