Xbox 360's don't register in UPNP
-
I've tried practically everything on these boards and can't get more than one xbox working at a time.
Trying to use the upnp route and xbox's never register there. Using latest 2.0 beta 5 snapshot, fyi.
Is there a command line way to register them or check logs?
What are my options? Would adding another dual nic and assigning a dedicated nic to each xbox and "dmz" them solve my problems?
If anyone can help me out, I'd greatly appreciate it…

I had to create a LAN rule.
add an alias first:Aliasname: UpnpPorts
Ports:
2189 "upnp"
5153 "nat-pmp"Description:
"Upnp and Nat-PMP ports"Then create a LAN rule to allow "TCP" traffic from the "LAN subnet" to "LAN address" using ports called "(other)" : UpnpPorts
Once that is setup, the "Freebsd router" should be accessible to your xbox360.
I've also setup the, static dhcp IP for xbxo360.
The upnp service so xbox360 may open ports from 88 and onward, but it usually only opens/needs port 3074.
Other lan ip-s may only open from port 1024 and onward… -
Hi !
do you see somethink under Status: UPnP & NAT-PMP Status
seems not to work for me :-( -

Muuuhahaha hahaha…. hahaha, good luck, UPnP is broken, and they dev team refuses to fix it.

FYI, I did fix this issue. Nothing wrong with pfsense.
My managed switch had multicast filtering turned on. This interfered with UPNP which is multicast based.
Pfsense UPNP and multiple xbox's using DHCP works just fine in 2.0. NAT shows open in network testing.
I have 3 xbox's that can all play online at the same time.

What did you have to do to get multiple xbox's working? I have two and they will not work at the same time.
Thanks

I fought the same issue with the xbox not registering in UPNP and I found running a network test in the Xbox made it register in UPNP I followed the UPNP directions in this link and locked it down to a range of IP's for our Xbox's.

Not sure why you are having issues.
We have two Xbox 360's in our house. After enabling UPNP in the pfSense Web Interface they both just worked.
No issues at all.

I've had multiple XBox's working for a couple of years now using UPnP but just recently upgraded my home switch to a managed one and experienced this exact issue which was driving me nuts. Disable Multicast filtering and I'm back in business, thank you pstuart.
