Should ACPI be disabled permanently via the device.hints method for a VM?

There is no BIOS setting in ESX 4.1 but during boot time, I notice all the ACPI messages.

What is the best practice, generally speaking?

so I bought the pfSense book and it has one paragraph about how ACPI can only cause trouble with pfSense and it told how to disable it.

So I did…just for the heck of it.
