PfSense firewall settings to block facebook
-
I was search today for how to block facebook at a client's site and eventually found the answer. However (there's always a however :-), I want to post my solution to the top hit in google so other's may see it here http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=16066.0. The problem is that the thread is locked. My question is why??? I know a lot of forums stop people from restarting old threads but would it make a lot of sense for the solution I found to be at the end of that thread instead of me starting another one here?
My solution was to create an Alias with the following network entries
66.220.144.0/20
69.63.176.0/20
204.15.20.0/22and then block that Alias in firewall rules.

Thanks for the reply. My question was more about why we can't reply to old threads. I'm guessing by the lack of replies that most people agree with me. Generally people on the internet are falling over each other to disagree with someone. The fact that no one replied really says a lot imo.

Threads are autolocked if there is no reply for a year.
I unlocked the linked thread.
