      hi all.. ;)

      i'm new to pf sense..
      we have installed pfsense and running well for past 3 months.
      i want to block the mp3 songs downloading and video viewing + downloading in the client's system.
      kindly give me proper solution asap.. (A step by step solution will be good.)

          Hi,

          one possibility would be to install squid and squidguard as a proxy service, there you can quite easily block mp3 and video downloads.

          A different approach would be to use Layer7 filtering to block video streaming and music downloads, but I think using squidguard will be the easier approach.

          You can install squid and squidguard from the modules section of pfsense, how to set up squidguard in detail and what it is capable off can best be read about here: http://www.squidguard.org/
