This is more of an openvpn problem but  i figured I would try here also. The problem i am having is i want the openvpn client to use a specific port . By default the config is set as nobind so that windows assigns a random port.

My problem is when i change nobind to lport windows is still assigning a random port. I have pfense only allowing 1194 in . So I am trying to get the openvpn clients to go to pfsense using port 1194 . Has anybody ran into this? I am using windows 7 x64

Why only allow 1194 in? Is there any specific reason for this?

Odds are some router ahead of you will rewrite that port anyhow.

Even if windows kept it the same, any router in front of that doing NAT would likely randomize the source port when doing translation.
