Login Page Doesn't Load

  • So today I was working on my pfSense box in the web configurator.  I went to go to another page and the page timed out while loading.  I tried reloading the page a few times but it still would not load.  I closed my browser and reopened it, but couldn't load the login page.

I was able to ssh into the server and restarted the web configurator.  Still nothing.  Finally, I tried logging in from another computer.  I got to the page warning mw that the connection is untrusted (since I'm using https) and confirmed the exception using firefox, but the log in page still would not load.  I would really like to do this without taking the server down, so I have two questions.

-Has anyone ever seen this before/found a work-around?

-Is there any way to disable NAT and the firewall from the command like (i suspect I may have created a forward to the wrong address)?

    Additional Information:
    -Running pfSense 2.0RC1

  • Don't have an answer.  But, I am experiencing the same problem on multiple boxes.  However, I can usually close the browser and log back in.  But, it is a pain and sometimes my changes do not save.  Trying to see if it is consistent when making certain changes.

  • @jxprcc:

a few ways around that here:

  • I've found that resetting your LAN IP and restarting web gui from console helps.

Only change that takes place: it changes HTTPS back to HTTP. It appears to me that HTTPS setting is what breaks it.
