      Hi everyone,

      I am new to pfsense and this forum – and Linux Firewalls in general. Is it possible and how - two forward external domains/requests, such as "subdomain1.domain.tld" to forward to Server 1 and "subdomain2.domain.tld" within the local Lan?

      subdomain1.domain.tld = is a Windows 2003 SBS Premium
      subdomain2.domain.tld = is a Windows 2003 Standard, hosting Citrix Access Essentials

      How can this be done?

      I know that 2003 SBS Premium is coming with ISA2004. I used to run Isa before – but it is simply to much on one machine. So due to performance issues and to get experience in Linux firewalls I would like to go for pfsense.

      Any tip or hint is welcome and appreciated.

      Thank you in advance.

      Cheers,
      Alexander

        This is not doable unless you have 2 public IPs and resolve each hostname to one of the IPs. You then can use a virtual IP for the second host and forward it to a different location.

            Hi Jeroen,

            as I stated bevore - I am usually talking "Windows" and nothing else. What I am doing right now is to extend my horizont - therefore I am looking left and right and discover new/other possibilities.

            Please excuse my stupid remark -> Linux. I sould like a noob - a while talking "Non-Windows" I am one.

            Regards,
            Alexander

              Hi Hoba,

              thank you for your reply. Yes, I have 4 external IPs. So that makes my live easier.

              Regards,
              Alexander
