Disconnects while changing rules

Hello,
We're using 2.0-RC1 in a dual WAN with NAT, DMZ and LAN setup an it's working fine so far, but one behaviour of pfSense makes me curious: it looks like several actions on the gui like adding a firewall rule, restarting OpenVPN or others disconnect all open connections on the firewall. Is this a bug or by design? We've like 120 rules and if I can't change them without annoying our external users every time I try it, it's really a show stopper. Any ideas?

That shouldn't be happening, some others have said that it happens to them, but nobody has been able to narrow down the exact circumstances in which that happens.
It doesn't happen on any of the 2.0 boxes or VMs that I have. I'm not sure any of the other devs have been able to reproduce it either.
