      Hi guys,

I've been looking for a way for users to build their own account for use with the captive portal, I found this post: http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,8748.msg50758.html#msg50758 which works great.
However it does not work with version 2.0 only 1.2.3. Since I am a complete dunce when it comes to PHP I was wondering if anyone could give me a few pointers with what needs to be changed in the script to make it work.

      Thanks!

You'd be much better off finding such a thing for a RADIUS server such as FreeRADIUS. They could register, add the account into RADIUS, and then authenticate. You'd probably have more luck with that running FreeRADIUS+That Registration App on another server, and just having a link to that page on the Portal login page.

                ???

FreeRadius has to run on something …. like a PC.
No PC means no need for any solution.

There was a php script that could add users on local for pfsense 1.2.3 . It doesn't work for 2.0 .

As far as I know, the portal "login" page of pfSense 2.0 supports inclusion of other php pages.

The example of the code you mentioned just needs to be fixed up to support the "version 2.0" way of storing the info in the config.xml file. User info changed some what, like group info etc.

In that case, no other material is needed, just php programming, and some pfSense knowledge.
