PFsense 2.0 RC3 and ESXi 5

Hello,

I have installed PFsense 2.0 RC3 in ESXi 5 with 2 physical NICs.

I need to use PFS as: Firewall, Captive Portal for 2 separate networks and OpenVPN.

I do not need to use PFS with my routers, since I already have a Load Balancer with 3 ADSL lines.

Can you suggest a configuration?

"Can you suggest a configuration?" NOPE (trying not to be sarcastic)
Pfsense works no different on the internet than it does to segment your network. Simply have 2 NIC's and create 2x virtual switches one connected to your users, enable the portal tool.

If you don't need the SPI or firewalling turn that off and PF sense will act like a router. Just make sure the WAN side is on your internal network and LAN is to the side you want to have the portal shown too. You don't even need to set custom routes unless you have an application you need specific connections too.

Thanks for the reply, though a little late…

I have used a different scenario, being helped my the great people in this forum.

I bought an Alix device for my experiments, and now I am ready to go to production using PFSense in ESXi 5, mostly because I need to use packages, that I cannot do with Alix.
