Pfsense 2.0 domain subdomains

im new to pfsense and new to the whole domain thing im using my ip address from my isp to host my domain now what i need help with is how can i make subdomains lets say i have two server one for mail and one for webserver i want the mail server to be mail.example.com and the web server to be www.example.com do i need two ip address to do this how do i go about doing this also i dont know anything about dns if thats what i need to use how can i do this with pfsense think you

This is all done in DNS, but you don't have to have 2 IPs since those services live on different ports.

thats what i was thinking how do i go about doing this so the out side world can see it and im using zone edit to update my domain also the web server and mail both use 80 / 443 so im not sure what you mean by they are on different port i use the webgui with are exchange server

Sorry mail server is usually 25, 110, and the sercure ports also. If you plan on using a web enabled mail server, then yes 2 servers, 2 IPs used. zone edit is usually:
<ip> A <hostname>.

If only your webmail service uses port 443 then you can get around it with HA Proxy or similar. Otherwise yes, for all services other than HTTP you need one WAN IP for each service you want to share a port.
