      Hello,

We are using an Alix 2D3 with PFSense 2.0. We would like to give access to guests with Captive Portal but with a different network than our own. We also need to give QoS for this for not consuming bandwidth (may be with traffic shaping).

If there is a documentation, please point me (I have the Definitive Guide book-although is not for version 2.0).

      Best regards

I'm not sure what you mean by a "different network". The pfSense Captive Portal is enabled on an interface or group of interfaces. You could add an interface to your pfSense, enable Captive Portal on that and so have access through CP on a network that is not your LAN.

CP has an option to set "per user" bandwidth. Take a look through the Services -> Captive Portal web pages.

Depending on the nature of the access you want to provide guest you could use vouchers, "guest" login to "authenticate" users. The CP page can be tailored to suit your requirements, e.g. provide guest login details.
