      Hello All.

I installed Pfsense 2.0 with quad wans and single wan first. I enabled captive portal, Made users with local user manager and it worked fine. Now I have added another LAN interface for cable users, I have enabled captive portal on it and it just goes in a loop asking for password again n again. Do I need a fresh install with both Lan interfaces defined prior to activating CP. or is this a bug as someone mentioned in another post that CP not working in multi LAN.

      Regards

        What other post ?
Multiple LAN setups (meaning LAN + OPT1+OPT2+OpTx etc), and on one of these OPTx you activate captive portal must work. It does for me.
Deactivate CP. Reboot box, activate CP.

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??

          LAN+WAN1+WAN2+WAN3+WAN4+LAN2

I activated it first on LAN2 which is connected to Bullet, and it's working fine… I later activated on LAN1 which is for Ethernet users and its not working. it shows the login page and then never accepts credentials. just a loop of login page.. I will do what you told though. Deactivate and then activate again on both ifaces.

            OK
Deactivated CP, restarted the box, activated again on both interfaces….same result.

LAN address pfsense is 172.16.100.4  (static users on cable)
LAN2 address pfsense is 172.16.101.1 (dhcp enabled users on wifi)

I have also noticed the url on ethernet
            http://172.16.100.4:8000/index.php?redirurl=http%3A%2F%2F_172.16.101.1_%3A8000http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2F
            when accessed by LAN.

            Please suggest what to do.

            Regards
