I don't know if this is the correct thread. I just would like to ask if its ok to use opendns ip to used as a monitor ip for my two interface? Currently, my WAN status is down because it cannot ping 208.67.220.220 but if I change it to its real GW, it is pingable. The reason why I used opendns is because for me to monitor if there are REALLY no issue on routing because I know sometimes that gateway is pingable but it cannot route outside the network.

Would you prefer to use opendns instead of its gateway address?

Last I heard from others, that was working as a monitor IP. You just need to make sure that if you have two WANs, you don't set up a conflicting situation where under System > General a DNS server is set to WAN1 and then used as a monitor IP for WAN2, that wouldn't work.
