Static Mapping Host name required?

When you add a mapping for a mac address to get a certain IP each time, the hostname field is required.  I don't know if anyone has pointed this out yet, but I don't believe it should be, right now I just put a few spaces in, and it works.  Not complaining, I just don't have the skills to fix it, and wanted to throw it out there if it isn't already a known issue
