      Hi all,

I have a problem with a Wireless USB stick (Hercules hwgusb2-54-v2) which should be supported by rum driver.
I would like to configure it as access point (AP). So I configure it like in tutorials (I see the interface, … everythings seems to be OK). When I use a client to connect to the AP, the client see the AP SSID, however, when it tries to connect, it cause a kernel panic on pfsense ("Fatal trap 18: integer divide fault while in kernel mode")
Have you ever heard of such a problem ?
For information, I use pfsense 2.01.

      Thank You,

      Paulem

I suggest you try one of the pfSense 2.1 snapshot builds. These use FreeBSD 8.3 which includes a patch to the rum driver that looks like it might address the problem you reported.

Thanks for your reply. I will try this solution and let you know the result.
However, can I patch the rum driver directly in my pfsense 2.0.1  (because I use some package like snort…) ??

            Not easily.

No problem with pfSense 2.1 snapshot builds… ! Are there any release date for pfsense 2.1 ?

              Thank you for your solution.
