Pfsense on proxmox (coliisions)
-
Hi!
Last weeks I have problems with my pfsense old HP Netserver E800 hardware. It freeezees.
So yesterday I created virtual router with pfsense in Proxmox virtualization software.
Theoretically it would fit me, because I don't have need very fast network and so on, but the thing is - pfsense shows a lot of collisions.
Is it ok? Can I leave it that way or virtual router isn't good idea?
I have another virtualization server with vmware. Is it worth to try install virtual router in vmware? Thanks in advance!

Are the NICs showing as half duplex under Status>interfaces? If so, that would be normal. Not very familiar with proxmox on whether that's typical with it.

Nop, it shows full duplex.
But it is strange, because WAN shows 1000 mb/s. But Lan, Wifi and Voip shows just 100mb/s. Server has just one physical network card. I know, that it is not good, but it should work…. -

Hi, you must use the e1000 nics in proxmox. Runs here without trouble.
Pfsense used 6 nics with the e1000 drivers, uptime are 70 days, transfered more then 150 GB over alle nics, without one collision.Regards, valle
