VPN Status
-
Hi, I'm using pfSense as a VPN concentrator. I use OpenVPN (mainly) and PPTP.
I noted that the standard logging features of pfSense don't give you and idea about who is currently logged on that is, I think pretty important. I saw several people talkin' of a status page but it seems no one end up in doing it, so I'm writing my own status page.
Is there someone here who can help me with some information like:- how can I commit the page to pfSense or how can I create a package for people who want to use it?
- how can I contatct the person who manages the OpenVPN config page to have some parameters inserted into the page?
- is there someone able to explain me why using OpenVPN I can kick a people out of the system, when auto-reconnection make him to be connected again in a couple of seconds?
- is there someone experienced with mpd/pptp to give me some info about building a pptp status page?
Thanks

Have you seen status>systemlogs, PPTP already? It shows users connecting and disconnecting for PPTP Clients.

Yes, but when you have several people loggin in and out that view only server as a storic log. It doesn't answer the question "who is in right now" in an effective way. Also dropped connections are handled in a strange way.
I'm developing a page with a simple table with names and infos about them, and possibly a button to kill connections.

Thanks, but maybe I'm a little bit retarded :)
Is there (I didn't find it) a simple guide like "What to do, from the beginning to the end, to put a new a new page into the project"?
Also i need to cooperate with the person who manages the OpenVPN config page
Bye
