      Hello,

maybe someone has an idear on how I can trace this, my snmpd deamon is currently always crashing after a certain amount of time.

All I can see in the logs is:

Apr 29 09:38:46 kernel: pid 14083 (bsnmpd), uid 0: exited on signal 6 (core dumped)
Apr 29 09:38:46 snmpd[14083]: stack overflow detected; terminated

After I restart it in the webinterface, it crashes shortly after again - > same msg.

I have the same problem on different hardware (virt box and physical HP DL 360)

This is just new after a recent upgrade to 2.0.1 , with 2.0.0 we did not have this issue in over 6months.

maybe someone has an idear were to look.

      thnx

Is something hitting it with a large query at the time?

I think I used to be able to trigger that by using snmpwalk before, but haven't seen it in quite a while

          hmm very strange,

we poll the 2 network interfaces every minute for graphing, and process / hardware informations every 30min.

so no complete snmpwalk, just simple snmp values.

if I restart the service over the webinterface it crashes shourtly after. If I reboot the pfsense appliance it works for 1-2 days without problems.

This did not happen at all with pfsense-2.0.0, but reguarly with 2.0.1
