      Using 2.0.1-RELEASe

      Want to block gmail account and allow to use google search engine.

      Please help.

        You need to use Squid (and optionally SquidGuard) and then you should just be able to block mail.google.com.

        Obviously you need to block all outbound traffic by default and require everybody to use the proxy for it to work.

          You can use as well an host alias with mail.google.com and all other url that you use on gmail and then create a firewall rule on lan to block access from lan_net to gmail_alias.

            You can use as well an host alias with mail.google.com and all other url that you use on gmail and then create a firewall rule on lan to block access from lan_net to gmail_alias.

            You can't do that with something like mail.google.com which frequently returns a different IP every time it's queried.
