      Hi pfSensers…

I've been working on setting up a Captive Portal with pfSense 2 and I got to this problem.  My captive portal authenticate user against an Active Directory user database through RADIUS, which works fin (no authentication problem). Then I customized login and error page.  The login page is a php file which detect browser type (mobile or desktop) and redirect to it's custom browser-type page which are html files with some javascript, tables, images, css and divs.  This setup was tested against a production environment, and worked grate.

After testing phase, was time to tweak things a little, specially Login and Error page, just to make them more user friendly.  Right after testing some new files, login page stop appearing automatically, that is, when you plug in to the network (or associate, for WiFi) and open a web browser, it suppose to load login page (as it used to do), but instead it tries to load the browser Home Page with no success (or any typed URL).  The thing is that if I type the captive portal URL (http://pfsense.box.ip:8000) it works, and I'm able to authenticate and then navigate (the normal way of work).

I tred with the solution posted here http://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/1102 but the problem remain.

I updeted pfsense with a BETA version ...

      2.1-BETA0 (i386)
built on Wed Aug 1 03:29:59 EDT 2012
      FreeBSD captive-alumnos-iqq.unap.cl 8.3-RELEASE-p3 FreeBSD 8.3-RELEASE-p3 #1: Wed Aug 1 04:30:35 EDT 2012 root@FreeBSD_8.3_pfSense_2.1.snaps.pfsense.org:/usr/obj./usr/pfSensesrc/src/sys/pfSense_SMP.8 i386

… and even after setting up again the captive portal (no custom login/error page), the problem persist.

      Can someone help me out?
      Thanks

I see you are using a "Beta" release, wouldn't be better to go for a "Stable" version which are supposedly free from bugs/errors ???
