Do I need to port forward for MagicJack Plus?

  • Hello,

    I am using 2.0.1-RELEASE (i386)

I recently moved from my previous location where I had ATT U verse for internet, because I did not have any other choice. Magic Jack Plus was hooked up from my ATT modem, to my WAN on pfsense box, out to LAN to ethernet switch. Worked great! Same setup at my new apartment. But I have Comcast now and it does not work!!!! Ugh going crazy!! I read online about port forwarding 5060 and 5070 so I did this. But no luck! Anyone else running into similar issues?

Please advise, and thank you so much for your time!

    -Brandon

  • I believe it says 5060 through 5070.

This is also something i found online that might help you.

    Good luck.

  • Awesome! Thanks so much for the help. I'm gonna do this tonight. I know this sounds noobish, but do Iput the rule under firewall for wan or lan? I can't ever figure out how to properly create a rule without creating a hole in my network, or screwing something up :(

    Thanks man
    Brandon
