It seems all options available, only give access to the many menu items and not the web.
I have been looking everywhere for an answer, the forum, the tutorials, the screenshots, you name it, NADA!
I am going to light up a whole bunch of led's candles to the virgin of the captive portals if someone can solve it for me….Pfhanks!

          No.
What i want to do, supposed to be a very basic operation, which last release made very complicate, as the tutorial for the (supposedly) previous version was very self explanatory.
In the Captive Portal, i will create some users to have access to it, so they can browse the internet (i don't want these user to have access to the PfSense interface at all, this privilege is only reserved to admins).
The problem is, after creating a user, and have entered it's credentials on the login page, this user get transfered to a grey PfSense's page, instead of having access to the internet.

Normally you might have issues with your setup if you see that.
There was an issue with IE 8/9 and some type of url redirection which made IE block. That should be solved on the coming 2.0.2 release.

As part of giving access user to pfSense webGui you can control that with firewall rules as usual.
Though user of CP by default if they login to the pfSense web interface can only change their password.

              I see.
IE9 is my current browser, so, it's much worse of what i thought.
Good to knows anyway, at least i will not try to test other options.
Any ideas of when (approximately) this new release with the "fix" will be available?
              Thanks!
