    Is it possible to block Java with pfSense? If at all possible I'd like to do it without using Squid.

      Without being able to filter the content with squid or danguardian or Proxy Server with mod_security, I don't really see how that would be possible.

        @podilarius:

        Ok, so which is the easiest on the users? I've used Squid and Danguardian but didn't really have any use for it so I uninstalled them again. Both tended to throw a custom page to the users when they made a 'wrong' request. That's ok but I need it to be as transparent as possible.

        If possible I'd like to be able to check a box saying Don't Allow Java.
