      Hi All,

Im really new to all this (Linux / Wireless etc ) although ive worked with Windows for yonks.

Anyhow, circumstances have forced me to carve out a new career and Wireless Hotspot / Wisp is the path ive chosen.  Ive got a pfsense installation working, the captive portal's working a treat much to my wifes annoyance.

Its all running on an old pc with a Netgear AP connected to the Lan interface.  In a production enviroment, could i install a PCI based card such as the 3Com 3CRDAG675B which would function as the wireless interface for inbound Hotspot customers?

Thanks for your help - its a trully remarkable program, and i hope i will be able to contribute to the site in the months to come.

      regards

      David

I see you haven't gotten any replies to this.  I have used several different wireless cards in my systems and I have yet to find one those doesn't work, but I don't know about your specific card, trial and error for cards not listed as supported.  As for making a wireless LAN forward to a captive portal the answer is yes.
