My OPT1 and LAN interfaces are bridged to LAN. Only the LAN (bridge0) interface is assigned an IP. This setup is still kind of confusing to me… for example: I want to try OpenVPN on the OPT1 side of my LAN (local VPN for wireless clients). What Interface should i choose In the OpenVPN Server config tab? OPT1 or LAN? Do both work? Thx a lot.

Did you assign bridge0 to an interface? If so, you could use that. Where are you going to VPN to? LAN and OPT are already bridged. If you are looking for a connection in then you are going to use WAN.

podilarius, yeah, I had bridge0 assigned. But I have changed everything (still new to pfSense and throwing configs around) and just accomplished one of my goals: having a seperate, public AP (OPT1) with VPN routing to my LAN. samba isn't working in this setup yet but that's next. :)
