Allowed Hostname + URL Rewrite

I just started using pfSense, and I have to say it's amazing. I was wondering, however, if anyone could help me with some remaining issues:
(1) I have inserted a website as an Allowed Hostname and as an Allowed IP Address. This is an external site that I want to make available from my CP. But no matter what, my CP keeps redirecting me back to the authentication page whenever I click on it. It seems like a firewall issue, but I can't seem to figure it out. I took out two firewall rules for my WLAN interface that blocked access from WLAN to WAN, leaving only my access rule allowing all traffic.
(2) This is probably related to the issue above, but how would I get my CP to allow access to additional, local HTML files?
(3) Is there any way to rewrite the URL that the user sees, perhaps to something simpler (don't need to redirect)? For example, instead of "index.php" I'd like to have "login.html". I tried changing it in /etc/inc/system.inc and /usr/local/captiveportal/index.php, the latter which does seem to have an effect. I uploaded login.html just in case, but I can't get the CP to load support files (i.e. css, js, png, etc.)
(4) If neither of these issues can be fixed, would hosting an external web server be doable? All I would want is for pfSense to redirect traffic to my local web server, which would take care of serving whatever documents I need.
Thanks!
