I finally Got my stand alone AP built, AND IT IS WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      2.0.1-RELEASE (i386)
built on Mon Dec 12 17:53:52 EST 2011
      FreeBSD 8.1-RELEASE-p6

      CPU Type Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2180 @ 2.00GHz

Home use AP with at least 9 wireless items (a good mix of smart phones, tablets, laptops)
connecting. I have fought with ALL off the shelf standard name brand wireless hardware - wireless routers. Finally found Pfsense back in AUG2012 and built a router, been running great since. I still needed a wireless solution. I first crack at Pfsense wireless ended badly, limited radio signal, connect/disconnects, etc.

Started messing w/ dd-wrt and open-wrt. I like the firmwares but still have the same issues with the hardware. I found a x86 version of dd-wrt but had install issues. Or I could go some flavor of linux. BUT I LOVE MY Pfsense, so I tried one last time using a new D-link pci card w/ 3 antennas.

I am not even getting any beacon errors.

WAN, LAN and wireless all bridged together, firewall disabled (I have a main Pfsense router).

To help others who are looking for supported WiFi cards would you please give the model and revision of the card you used and post the output of pfSense shell command```

            FYI

            if anyone is interested.

I use "Fing" on my droid to interrogate my networks. does just about everything, all from my smart phone.
list all IPs and MAC addresses. I can even login into my router from within "Fing"
