If i setup OpenVPN on my backup unit just like my primary i loose the startup beeps confirming a successful boot. If i delete the server i setup and reboot i get a successful startup. Any help to identify why this is happening is appreciated.

Check your console, see what is making the boot process stop before it gets to the point where it beeps.
