Forum upgraded to SMF 2.x
-
We upgraded the forum from SMF 1.x to 2.x today, and have switched out the default theme. Everything seems to be working fine, but if you see any problems let us know.

Looks good so far… :)

Other than the weird ad for shoes and clothes that made it to first on the list in comments after the upgrade, everything looks great.
-
Thanks. Looks good and seems to be faster.
Default font size in this Post reply text box is pretty big.
Any chance the Ignore Boards option could be turned on?
-
Nice.
I agree the font size seems a bit big but I'm sure I'll get used to it. I just have to retrain my muscle memory to click 'unread replies' top right instead of top left. ::)Steve

That's exactly what I thought first, too! ;)

One further thing I've noticed is that there is no immediate visual difference between posts I've read and those that I haven't. In the SMF 1.X threads with new posts were shown as bold until I read them. This makes it very easy to overlook any new questions.

Functionally, the only thing I've noticed so far is that I can't tell who is lurking on a thread, and the larger font etc. There might be something happening under the hood that makes life easier for the admins. Not sure. It works. I like simple not too jazzed up things. Suits me.

Unread threads have an orange "New" icon, though the bold title was better.

Can you please change the CSS to make the font in (quick)reply textarea smaller? It's really annoying. Should be the quickReplyContent and editor classes.

Should be fixed now

The new threads as bold should be working again (hopefully without any side effects :-)

This should be back now, too.

Also, if possible, more contrasted between background and topic table. Maybe border ?

Not sure I follow on that one. Where exactly? Can you post a screenshot with the area highlighted?
Anywhere I can see that lists topics is already fairly well contrasted (white or very light grey background with dark red text)

Love it! Thank you guys!

Mani page looks good. May be would like to continue like this.

And +
( In some cheap Acer monitors that's look as mono field with background panel )

I'm not seeing any contrast issues on any of those, they're all pretty well-differentiated light/dark. Which exact part of the screen are you suggesting should be modified? (circle it in the pic)
