If you upgrade to the OpenVPN Client Export package version 1.2, you'll notice that it can now export 32 and 64-bit Windows installers.

I tried it locally here on a couple systems and VMs and it was happy, but give it a try and see how it works.

Remember to UNINSTALL OpenVPN before you install the client again or it will likely cause problems or skip the install. Especially true if you have OpenVPN 2.2.x or older installed as it will not upgrade in-place.

Also the 64-bit install is NOT going to work (yet?) with OpenVPNManager, because it's still a 32-bit app and the 64-bit NSIS script would need a ton more logic to be able to handle things split between the 64 and 32-bit Program Files/Program Files (x86) structure.

I also removed the 2.2 client, I couldn't see any reason to keep it.

For 64bit Win7, what then would be the correct method to install the client? Do we omit the Client-Manager?
We are unable to execute either 32 or 64 bit versions of the exported exe, regardless of Management Interface selections. ie. We've tried every obvious combination with no sucess.

Cool. Just found this thread by searching for client export and 64bit.
          One comment though:
Would it be possible to make the defaults configurable? Especially Host Name Resolution is critical. I forgot a couple of times to change it before exporting…

          thanks!

If the computer can remember for me, that is much better than relying on my memory or a separate doc.

It may be possible but it would be quite a significant effort, development-wise. If someone does the work and submits a pull request, we'll consider it, but I don't see it happening unless the code shows up.
