2.1.1 on my ALIX, problems with default gateway
-
At first I tried to upgrade from my 2.1 installation, did not work, at first the partition was too small, then something around fstab .. gave up.
Flashed 2.1.1 snapshot to another CF … and restored my xml-backup from 2.1 to it.
It didn't work right away ... my WAN is a PPTP-connection to an ADSL modem ... it seems not to get the default gw set correctly. When I reapply (Save) the settings for the WAN-GW it starts to work. But after a reboot I get no connection right away.
This as a first status report here ;)
Thanks, Stefan

What size CF image did you use?
And were there any errors in the system log (Status > System Logs) when the WAN did not function?

It's a 4 GB CF
I use "2.1.1-PRERELEASE (i386) built on Tue Jan 21 07:39:53 EST 2014 "

just upgraded to the build from feb 11th … and for the first time with the new pre-release snapshots my alix went online without manual intervention. Great! ;-)
