Bypass captive portal for some ports

I'd like some traffic (LDAP queries, actually), to be passed through the firewall from behind CP prior to a user authenticating. Is this possible?

Background: Netware clients can query LDAP to automatically set a users context after they enter a username but before they enter a password and finalise their login.

Captive portal bypass is either all or nothing, unfortunately this isn't possible.
